Chat rules

Document · effective from publication

A short document about what counts as normal behaviour in a chat with no names, no documents and no advertising. Breaking the rules does not “lock one feature off” — it removes the card from the list or suspends the account.

1. Adults only

Age is typed in by hand and anything below 18 is simply rejected. Talking to a minor, pretending to be one, or offering to move somewhere “for adults” is forbidden without exceptions. A report on those grounds is reviewed first and normally ends in suspension. This rule outranks all the others: everything else is about comfort, this one is about child safety.

2. Not allowed

  • Spam and flooding. The same message to dozens of people, endless content-free “hi”, walls of characters, a link in every message.
  • Advertising and platform-hopping. Products, services, channels, giveaways, messenger and site links. Moving to another chat is your business; promoting it here is not.
  • Unsolicited explicit content. Adult conversation between consenting people is fine; unrequested explicit photos and messages are not. There is no pornography, no trading in “intimate services”, and no pressuring the other person.
  • Other people’s personal data. A name, phone, address, workplace, photos or correspondence of someone else must not be published, even if that person said it themselves once.
  • Harassment, threats, stalking. Attacks based on nationality, appearance, orientation or disability; threats; repeatedly forcing a dialogue after a refusal.
  • Fraud and extortion. Requests to transfer money, “investments”, “collect the parcel”, “I am the agent, confirm the transfer”, and any scheme touching bank details.
  • Impersonation. Someone else’s name, profile, or photos. Do not claim an identity that is not yours.
  • Evading enforcement. Creating new cards to keep writing to the same person after being blocked or reported.

3. What is checked automatically

The filter runs on every message and needs no reports. It catches the obvious ones: a character repeated more than ten times, huge whitespace gaps, more than two links in a message, any link at all from a brand-new card, messenger links, phone numbers and contact details, plus abusive language — including spelling masked with look-alike letters.

Some of those messages are hidden from the recipient and sent to the moderation queue while the author still sees their own text as normal. That is deliberate: a false positive costs less than a missed insult or bank details reaching a scammer. Hard violations — messenger links, flooding, explicit spam — are blocked outright.

Volume limits apply too: roughly 20 messages a minute, 300 an hour, and a new card gets 8 messages with a pause in between. That is technical protection of the list against automated mailshots, not a punishment.

4. Enforcement

  1. Step 1 — the filter.

The message is undelivered or hidden from the recipient, and the author sees why. This is not a block: the card keeps working.

  2. Step 2 — three reports in seven days.

The card disappears from every list and from search. Existing conversations stay open to whoever started them, but a hidden account cannot begin new ones.

  3. Step 3 — eight reports in seven days.

The account is suspended with its profile. This is not a warning for the future: after a suspension a card is never restored automatically.

  4. Step 4 — human moderation.

Minors, threats, fraud and other people’s personal data are handled by a person and usually end in suspension regardless of how many reports there were.

Reports count over a rolling seven days and are dropped when a moderator finds them unfounded. An enforcement action can be appealed at privacy@intwo.app: hiding is lifted, suspension is reviewed.

5. Couple profile type

Couple is one account profile type and follows the same rules as every other profile. Do not impersonate someone, use another person’s photos, or create extra profiles to contact people who blocked you.

6. One device, one card

Entry from a single address is capped: no more than six sessions and eight entry attempts per hour. It is a technical measure against automated list-filling; a real person never runs into it.

7. Reasonable freedom

Adult flirting, humour, rough language aimed at a partner who is fine with it, photos by mutual wish — all allowed. The rules exist so strangers can talk calmly here, not to make the chat boring. If somebody bothers you there is a Block button: it works immediately and asks for no explanation.

8. Changes

The rules may be extended. A new version applies as soon as it is published on this page and the date at the top moves. A clearer wording does not mean you were punished under an old one; disagreements go to email.
